Swedish Arctic Expedition

This expedition reaches far into the Swedish arctic, in this extreme environment temperatures can drop as low as -30, it will put any survival extremist to the test. Wild Spirit operates a 10 day arctic bushcraft expedition in early February. tying in with the most northern Swedish trappers market, which has been running now for around four hundred years.

Here is where you will experience the still, soundless, snow bound wilderness, under the silent night sky, so come with us and find how to survive in this hostile environment putting all your skills and stamina to the test.

Extreme Arctic Bushcraft
You will learn key survival skills for the winter arctic environment :

• Arctic clothing Info (Caribou skin Clothing)
• Survival safety
• Ice breaking through (optional exercise)
• Husky Dog Driving
• Arctic navigation
• Snow shelters
• Fire lighting with ice
• Water
• Trapping course
• Game preparation
• Ice fishing
• Wild Food
• Making Snow shoes
• Tracking

This course does not require any survival or Arctic experience; however a bushcraft introduction course is a definite advantage. Do not apply for this Arctic trip unless you have a good level of fitness as it is essential in this hostile environment.

This includes internal transfers to and from lulea Airport, all accommodation, main meals, all training, equipment used on the course. It does not include personal kit; however there will be some hire options for this. Flights not included.
