Job: Bushcraft Instructor
Location: Merthyr Mawr estate, Bridgend

Job Description: We are looking for bush-craft instructors who can deliver bush craft courses on a casual basis, depending on bookings. You must have experience and be enthusiastic and flexible in our busy bush-craft school.
You should have excellent course delivery skills, experience and also a mature approach in delivering courses based on stone-age and back woodman techniques.
The hours of work will be as and when required and will include predominately weekends, but there are possibilities of work during the week.
You will need to have a good sound knowledge and experience of delivering bush-craft skills, and be able to bring new and innovative ideas to the bush-craft school.
Areas of responsibility and key tasks:
- Work alongside the guidelines which Wildspirit bushcraft portray
- Proven delivery of courses
- Set up and take down before and after courses
- Maintain good house- keeping of the woodland
- Meet and greet participants
- Deliver basic to advanced bush-craft courses
- Cook lunch or evening meal
Criteria
| Essential | Desirable |
| Demonstrate and deliver at least 4 methods of fire lighting | A woodsman qualification |
| Knowledge of plant tinder’s and kindling preparation | Knowledge of working with birds of prey |
| At least 5 methods of shelter building | |
| General woodsman skills, tree management and fire wood preparation | |
| Health and safety preparation | |
| Tree and plant identification: medicinal/edibles/poisonous plants and mushroom identification | |
